About the role

DK Security's Background and Investigations Department plays a critical role within the organization, supporting a core component of the company's business model. As a Background Specialist, you would serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing clear and professional communication regarding requested background screenings. This role requires strong customer service, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail to ensure an efficient and seamless client experience.

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage third-party background screening requests.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Troubleshoot account setup issues and provide timely resolution to client concerns.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client communications and support.
  • Coordinate fingerprinting services and assist clients throughout the enrollment process.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to provide an education document proving completion of High School or a GED.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Must not have more than 2 at-fault accidents or 3 moving violations on their driving record from the last 3 years.
  • Must be able to clearly speak, comprehend, read, and write in the English language.
  • Must not have been convicted of any felonies, nor have any misdemeanor convictions for crimes of moral turpitude (assaults, weapons, theft, fraud, and drug related crimes).
  • Must be familiar and comfortable with using a computer mouse, keyboard, and a multiple monitor setup.
  • Must be capable of creating and maintaining spreadsheets and documents in Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to comply with our corporate appearance and grooming policy and have good personal hygiene.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills and be able to create a friendly and welcoming environment for co-workers and visitors.
  • Must be able to pay attention to details and remain calm and focused for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Core computer skills and experience with typing data into spreadsheets and word processors is required.
  • Prior experience in security field work is highly preferred.

Pay

$18-21/hour starting pay with room to grow.

Schedule

08:30–17:00 Monday–Friday (40 hours per week with an unpaid 30-minute lunch break). This is a full-time, fully in-office position; there is no remote or work-from-home option.
