Backflow Technician

About the role

We are seeking a dependable Backflow Technician to join our team around the Wilmington, MA/Southern, NH area. The ideal candidate should have 1-3 years of experience with Massachusetts backflow testing.

Responsibilities

• Test backflow preventers on a variety of systems
• Work closely with community water systems and private clients to ensure safe drinking water
• Perform backflow device testing
• Interact with water customers on a daily basis
• Drive company vehicle for travel

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Plumbing knowledge/experience a plus, but not required
• Licence preferred, required to obtain within one year of start, class & license paid by company
• Ability to retain and abide by state and local regulations
• Proficient in MS Office
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Ability to climb a ladder
• Attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Valid driver’s license

Benefits

• Full-time position may require various shifts and/or flexible hours
• Travel to various communities (approximately 4 hours round trip)
• Overnights for certain community testing may be required
• Part-time or full-time positions available

Pay

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00 per hour.
