Experienced Backflow Service Technician

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Independently perform testing, service, maintenance, and repairs of backflow devices.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose system deficiencies and perform corrective action/repairs.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Accurately and timely complete required documentation and service reports.
• Ensure compliance with standards and local codes.
• Show strong technical aptitude with the ability to use multiple platforms and applications for reporting, documentation, and data management.
• Show highly detail-oriented with the ability to adapt quickly to diverse situations, evolving challenges, and changing business needs.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Support and assist entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Travel to job sites as required.

Education/Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in backflow testing and repair.
• Strong understanding of backflow and service and repairs.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
• Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
