Qualifications

• Mid-range to senior experience in professional full-stack web development
• Strong proficiency in Ruby programming language and Rails framework
• Experience with JavaScript, including React.js
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles
• Experience working with Postgres or equivalent relational databases
• Previous experience maintaining production applications
• Ability to write clear, maintainable, and tested code
• Proficiency with Git, continuous integration, and deployment processes
• Excellent written communication skills
• Ability to perform thorough code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain the core backend platform using Ruby on Rails
• Collaborate with product managers and frontend developers to implement new features and improve existing functionalities
• Design and optimize RESTful APIs to ensure seamless integration and performance
• Maintain and improve database schemas and queries, primarily using Postgres
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code adhering to best practices
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing within the team
• Deploy updates regularly using CI/CD pipelines and monitor application performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime
• Contribute to technical documentation and team knowledge base
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and incorporate relevant technologies to improve platform capabilities
