Backend Engineeer

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer who thrives in one of the hardest environments in business: legacy supply chains, enterprise customers, startup speed, and chaotic real-world operations.

What You Will Do

• Design, build, and operate services used daily by shippers, carriers, and drivers
• Automate developer-dependent tasks (e.g., tool creation and debugging) to accelerate internal and customer automation efforts
• Embed AI/LLMs (Vertex AI, open-source models, agentic tools) to automate decision-making and super-charge developer productivity
• Stabilize backend services
• Own Problems end to end

What You'll Work With

• Backend: Golang, Python, Postgres, Redis
• Infra: GCP

Must-have

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production systems at scale
• Strong background in product driven backend development
• Deep understanding of what makes systems performant, scalable, and maintainable
• Fluency with SQL schema design and data modeling for transactional & analytical workloads
• Demonstrated ability to leverage LLMs/AI agents to boost velocity and solve novel problems
• Superior product reasoning skills
• Exceptional written & verbal communication; able to align technical decisions with business outcomes

Nice-to-haves

• Proven track record of owning problems end to end
• Startup experience
• Experience stabilizing and scaling large code bases
