About the role

Dev Technology is seeking a Mid-Level Backend Developer with expertise in AWS and Node.js to join our dynamic team. This role is available as a hybrid position within the Washington D.C. Metro Area.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain modern web and mobile applications using React, React Native, JavaScript/TypeScript, AWS services, RESTful APIs, and relational and non-relational databases.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize application performance.
  • Contribute to technical design discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in a development environment.
  • At least 3 years of experience with JavaScript & React UI.
  • At least 3 years of experience developing back-end services with Node.js.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with AWS Cloud Tools.
  • At least 1 year of experience in writing SQL and working with relational database structures.
  • Ability to understand complex business processes and how they relate to the systems supporting them.
  • Aptitude for picking up technology quickly, along with a desire to learn and progress.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to collaborate with team members to ensure client needs and expectations are met or exceeded.

Qualifications

  • Must have the ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust.

Skills

  • Experience with Agile and DevOps tools, such as Git, Jenkins (preferred).
  • Experience with AWS Lambda or DynamoDB (preferred).
  • Experience with the SPA concept and libraries (preferred).

Benefits

Our estimated salary range for this position is $72,000 - $130,000. This presented salary range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The offered salary is based on education, experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements appropriate to the role.
