Mid-Level Backend Developer (AWS)
About the role
Dev Technology is seeking a Mid-Level Backend Developer with expertise in React, React Native, JavaScript/TypeScript, AWS services, RESTful APIs, and databases. The ideal candidate will work on mission-critical projects for the federal government, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain modern web and mobile applications
- Develop back-end services with Node.js
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions
- Troubleshoot and optimize application performance
- Contribute to technical design discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- At least 5 years of professional experience in a development environment
- At least 3 years of experience with JavaScript & React UI
- At least 3 years of experience developing back-end services with Node.js
- At least 2 years of experience working with AWS Cloud Tools
- At least 1 year of experience in writing SQL and working with relational database structures
- Ability to understand complex business processes and how they relate to the systems supporting them
- Aptitude for picking up technology quickly, along with a desire to learn and progress
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to collaborate with team members to ensure client needs and expectations are met or exceeded
Qualifications
- Clearance: US citizenship required. Must have the ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust
Skills
- Experience with Agile and DevOps tools, such as Git, Jenkins (preferred)
- Experience with AWS Lambda or DynamoDB (preferred)
- Experience with the SPA concept and libraries (preferred)
Benefits
Our estimated salary range for this position is $72,000 - $115,000. This presented salary range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The offered salary is based on education, experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements appropriate to the role.
