Back up Receiver

The Backup Receiver position is responsible for all functions and paperwork related to receiving. This role operates machinery including baler, compactor, and forklift in a safe and proper manner, maximizes sales potential through effective receiving procedures, and maintains cleanliness of the receiving area.

Responsibilities

• Handle all receiving functions and paperwork accurately.
• Operate machinery such as baler, compactor, and forklift safely.
• Maximize sales potential through proper receiving procedures for incoming products.
• Maintain cleanliness of the receiving area.
• Report receiving discrepancies to Managers and Buyers to resolve issues like damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
• Examine contents and compare with records, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.
• Attend applicable trainings and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Use pallet jack to horizontally transfer product weighing up to 1000 lbs., requiring a force up to 50 lbs., for distances up to 150 feet.
• Perform physical tasks such as moving/transferring product weighing up to 60 lbs., from 5” to 56”, for up to 30 feet without mechanical assistance.
• Review invoices and monitor incoming product, requiring adequate vision.
• Perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Multi-task, understand proper retail receiving procedures, and demonstrate basic computer knowledge.
• Execute other duties as needed.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication with team members, Store leadership, and service vendors.
• Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and transferring heavy products.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $17.20 - $23.20 per hour. Pay is determined based on applicable experience and qualifications of the applicant.
