About the Role

We are seeking a talented Back-End Web and Application Engineer to join our dedicated Back-End Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coding, data manipulation, and building scalable web solutions. In this role, you will maintain and enhance existing web applications, develop new features, and create complex web applications from scratch or within existing frameworks. Collaboration is at the heart of our work culture, so you'll participate in project planning, contribute to strategic decisions, and develop internal tools to support other departments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the technical feasibility of projects and deliver high-quality solutions that meet client and internal needs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional web development experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in object-oriented back-end web development languages such as PHP or Ruby on Rails
• Experience creating and customizing content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Magento)
• Strong understanding of version control systems, particularly Git/GitLab
• A solid portfolio demonstrating back-end web application and website development capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Participate in project planning sessions and contribute to tactical direction
• Develop, maintain, and improve CMS back-ends and web applications
• Build complex web applications from scratch or within existing frameworks
• Implement new features and optimize existing functionalities to enhance user experience
• Create internal tools to streamline workflows and support other departments within Nebo
• Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and project managers to deliver seamless solutions
• Ensure code quality through testing, documentation, and adherence to best practices
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve technical skills
