# IBM Z ENGINEERING SYSTEM TEST BACK-END DEVELOPER – SYSTEMS ASSURANCE KERNEL (SAK) INTERN 2027 ## About the Role The **Systems Assurance Kernel (SAK)** team at IBM works on leading-edge IBM Z technology, developing tooling that supports the product lifecycle from simulation and initial hardware bring-up through testing, manufacturing builds, field installations, and customer delivery. SAK provides a robust framework for verifying processor and input/output architectures and helps locate and debug hardware and firmware issues on IBM Z servers. As a SAK Intern, you will create and write **architecture verification software for IBM Z systems**, working through design, coding, testing, and debugging activities. You’ll collaborate with development and test engineers, programmers, and technicians in a fast-paced environment.
