Position Summary

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Outbound Pick and Replenishment Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day site operations, including managing warehousing, receiving, and shipping of product to meet company service and cost objectives. Responsibilities also include planning operations, managing customer communication, space utilization, and equipment management. People management includes hiring, training, labor planning, performance appraisals, problem resolution, and fostering a positive work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensures systems and procedures for managing operations, equipment, and products are safe and profitable.
  • Manages operations to meet productivity and service goals, complying with client Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Drives Continuous Improvement initiatives and suggests cost-saving measures.
  • Maintains Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and complies with Quality System requirements.
  • Supervises team members, creates programs for hiring, training, and professional development, and participates in performance evaluations.
  • Supports senior management and clients by keeping them informed of critical issues affecting operations.
  • Plans daily work schedule, reviews volume demands, and assigns duties to warehouse staff.
  • Manages warehouse space, supplies, and staffing needs.
  • Ensures effective training and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assesses trainee performance and DSV cultural fit.
  • Maintains team motivation and focuses on customer satisfaction.
  • Supports adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Conducts routine staff meetings to review daily/weekly work activities.
  • Manages information systems and ensures proper training for team members.
  • Manages customer service standards and provides administrative support.
  • Supports budget development and ensures operational performance goals are met within cost parameters.
  • Manages equipment and facilities, ensuring compliance with safety, security, and quality principles.
  • Manages safety audits and ensures adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Works overtime as required.

Skills & Abilities

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • 7+ Years Logistics/Distribution/Relevant Environment Experience
  • 5+ Years Supervisory Role Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated Proficiency in Applicable WMS Systems
  • Strong Attention to Detail, Accuracy, and Timely Task Completion
  • Good Organizational and Personnel Skills
  • Good Communication Skills, Written and Oral
  • Good Leadership, Supervision, and Planning Skills
  • Able to Work Flexible Schedules, Including Nights and Weekends
  • Participate in Cross Training Metrics Activities
  • Ability to Adapt to Change and Thrive in a Fast-Paced Environment
