B- Shift Lab Analyst (2nd Shift) - Up to $33.92 per hour including Shift Differential

About The Role

Primient customers rely on us to provide high-quality ingredients for their manufacturing processes. Our Plant Quality team drives strategic initiatives to strengthen standards and maintain key accreditations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine testing in all areas of production for process control.
• Calculate and analyze data against standard operating conditions; communicate results to supervisors.
• Input finished product and process control data into electronic files.
• Perform compendial tests on finished products and maintain file samples for storage.
• Operate analytical equipment, including:
  • Particle Size Analysis
  • Acid/Base Titrations (manual and Mettler Auto-titrators)
  • Moisture testing via Karl Fisher Titrator
  • pH Measurements
  • Ammonia testing via Ion Selective Probe
  • UV/Vis Spectrophotometers (Genesys, Spectronic)
• Maintain and calibrate analytical equipment for proper operation.
• Prepare and standardize analytical reagents for laboratory and process testing; maintain records.
• Perform duties for inoculum preparation, including media prep, sterile transfer, culture maintenance, and microbiological monitoring.
• Conduct non-routine testing for plant upsets or special projects.
• Clean laboratory areas and maintain safety; participate in accident prevention programs.
• Receive, store, and manage lab supplies and reagents.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 pounds without mechanical assistance.
• Use lab tools above shoulder level, including reaching, twisting, and lifting.
• Perform nightly maintenance tasks.
• Remove waste from waist-level counters to transfer wagons.
• Prep and run samples in small areas with instrument manipulation.
• Independently perform analytical lab duties during night shift coverage.

Schedule

B-Shift operates 2 pm–10 pm on a rotational basis with the following schedule: 7 days on & 2 days off, 7 days on & 1 day off, 7 days on & 4 days off (repeating every 28 days).

Pay

Starting pay of $24.79/hour plus overtime, with opportunities to advance through a pay-for-skill system. Shift differential included, up to $33.92/hour.
