2nd Shift Quality Lab Technician - $25.61/hour

About the role

The Quality Lab Technician (QLT) position is available at our East Longmeadow, MA plant. This role supports the 24/5+ production operations and focuses on quality assurance through inspection and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Collect and inspect daily samples from various processes and report results promptly.
• Identify and address non-conformities, collaborating with operations to resolve issues.
• Support new product development and process change initiatives.
• Participate in internal audits and perform final process/product inspections.
• Operate and maintain advanced inspection equipment and document findings.
• Develop and document new inspection and measurement processes.

Requirements

• 2-year college technical degree preferred, or equivalent factory/quality experience.
• Positive team player with a willingness to learn and contribute.
• Experience with lab measurement equipment and basic quality principles.
• Technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and conflict resolution abilities.
• Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT).
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in quality control and laboratory settings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Understanding of ISO/QS documentation and requirements.
• Experience with dimensional and performance analysis in NPD programs.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

Skills

• Advanced inspection equipment operation (Micro-Vu, CMM, Alicona, Keyence).
• Metallurgical knowledge and experience.
• Technical report writing skills.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
