About the Opportunity:The AZURE CLOUD ARCHITECT will design, implement, and govern secure cloud solutions within Microsoft Azure. This role provides hands-on technical leadership to transition business-critical applications to a reliable, secure, and cost-effective cloud environment aligned with the Azure Well-Architected Framework. It plays a crucial part in defining cloud architecture standards and supporting delivery across the application lifecycle. Responsibilities:Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions following Azure Well-Architected Framework standards.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and DevOps teams.Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code scripts using Terraform and Bicep.Design and implement DevOps pipelines for CI/CD processes.Collaborate with software development, QA, security, and operations teams to integrate and validate application changes.Establish multi-layered application deployment practices with comprehensive testing.Enhance cloud security, governance, compliance, and cost-efficiency.Apply agile project management practices to deliver cloud architecture work.Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and deployment challenges.Provide strategic architectural guidance aligned with business objectives.Maintain current knowledge of Azure and cloud technology trends.Develop multi-phased cloud implementation roadmaps.Implement foundational cloud platforms using infrastructure and policy as code automation.Conduct proof of concepts and implement production-ready Azure cloud solutions.Utilize Infrastructure-as-Code and Configuration Management tools.Work with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker.Demonstrate proficiency in Azure, AWS, and on-premises virtualization technologies.Use scripting languages including Python, JavaScript, Bash, and PowerShell.Apply High Availability and Disaster Recovery principles.Promote cloud security best practices.Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements:Extensive experience designing and implementing Azure cloud architectures.Hands-on expertise with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Bicep.Proficiency in DevOps pipeline design and CI/CD implementation.Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including software development, QA, security, and operations.Knowledge of container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker).Familiarity with major cloud platforms including Azure and AWS.Awareness of on-premises virtualization technologies such as HyperV and VMware.Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, JavaScript, Bash, and PowerShell.Understanding of High Availability and Disaster Recovery practices.Strong skills in cloud security, governance, and compliance.Ability to apply agile project management methods. Pay Range and Compensation Package:The salary range for this role is $175,000 to $190,000 CAD, based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
