About the role

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer / Systems Administrator Consultant to serve as a technical lead within an Enterprise Applications team. This role will provide technical leadership, cloud administration, systems engineering, application integration, and complex issue resolution across enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical lead for enterprise applications and facilitate collaboration across technology teams.
  • Act as the primary escalation authority for complex technical issues involving cloud computing, systems engineering, networking, integrations, messaging, and identity.
  • Monitor and manage Azure integrations and applications.
  • Ensure Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) configurations align with business and security requirements.
  • Architect, build, configure, and maintain solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate/Flows, Power Pages, and Copilot Studio.
  • Develop, configure, and troubleshoot Copilot Studio bots and AI-driven workflows, integrating them with enterprise data sources and Power Platform components.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, groups, application registrations, and access configurations.
  • Implement and maintain integrations between third-party software, enterprise applications, and custom-built solutions.
  • Design and monitor solutions to ensure reliable communication and data transfer between systems.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for third-party software and enterprise applications.
  • Deploy system, application, and infrastructure updates while maintaining appropriate configuration documentation.
  • Document system changes, configurations, technical procedures, best practices, and operational guides.
  • Work with system architects as a technical subject matter expert to recommend system enhancements and improvements.
  • Train and mentor existing staff on new technologies, tools, and technical processes.
  • Oversee projects associated with existing and newly acquired vendor software.
  • Partner with business units to understand technical requirements and translate business needs into effective IT solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design, implement, and continuously improve enterprise technology solutions.
  • Work with security engineers to identify and remediate system vulnerabilities.
  • Lead multi-vendor escalations involving complex integration, messaging, identity, and cloud service issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
  • Strong experience with Windows System/Server Administration.
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including:
    • Application permissions
    • Microsoft Graph API
    • App registrations
    • Secret lifecycle management
  • Experience architecting and integrating systems across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Strong experience with Office 365 Administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).
  • Experience with Active Directory and PKI.
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications, integrations, and cloud services.
  • Strong troubleshooting and escalation-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and security personnel.

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL and Power BI.
  • Experience building Power Platform flows, connections, and applications.
  • Experience with VMware AirWatch.
  • Experience with System Center Orchestrator.
  • Experience with Copilot or equivalent Large Language Model (LLM) technologies.
  • Experience with ManageEngine ADManager and Self-Service Plus.
  • Experience with enterprise notification and communication platforms.

Preferred Certifications

  • Azure AI Fundamentals (AI-900)
  • Azure Data Fundamentals (DP-900)
  • SANS Windows and PowerShell security training/certification
  • Apple Certified Macintosh Technician
  • Security+ or higher

Location: Columbia, SC (local only). Position Type: W2 Contract.
