About the role

Candidates must live in a major market in California to include the Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, or the San Francisco Bay area. Would you like to be part of a team focused on increasing the adoption of Amazon Web Services in State & Local Government? Do you have the business savvy and the technical background necessary to help establish Amazon as a key technology platform provider?

Responsibilities

  • Lead a high performing sales team focused on delivering cloud services and solutions
  • Create a clear partner and Professional Services strategy demonstrating the ability to scale reach and drive adoption and great customer experiences
  • Develop the local government ecosystem and align strategy with the Amazon Partner Network (APN) team
  • Coach and develop your sales team to make them successful
  • Meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Enterprise plan
  • Accelerate customer adoption
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline
  • Manage contract negotiations
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts
  • Expect moderate travel

Requirements

Basic Qualifications: 10+ years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience. Experience in management of large, complex enterprise accounts or equivalent.

Prioritization: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Teamwork: Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.

Problem Solving: Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.

Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing environments and priorities.

Customer Focus: Strong focus on customer needs and satisfaction.

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of AWS and its offerings.

Leadership: Proven leadership experience in a sales or management role.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and sales incentives. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
