AWS Solution Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic AWS Solutions Architect to design, build, and optimize our cloud infrastructure, data systems, and AI-driven analytics in alignment with our Entrata software platform and broader business initiatives. This brand-new position offers the opportunity to shape the company’s cloud and data ecosystem from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- AWS Architecture & Infrastructure
- Design and implement AWS-based infrastructure for data collection, storage, and analytics.
- Deploy and manage AWS services such as S3, Glue, Datadrew, Quick Sight, Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, CloudFormation, and IAM.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and security across all AWS environments.
- Automate environment setup and deployment using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Collaborate on data flows and integrations that support Entrata and CLS operational systems.
- Data Management & Integration
- Architect and manage ETL pipelines to gather data from multiple internal systems (Entrata, CRM, IoT, property management, and financial platforms).
- Build and maintain data lakes and warehouses using AWS Glue, S3, and Redshift.
- Develop RESTful APIs and data interfaces to integrate with Entrata and third-party applications.
- Implement governance, monitoring, and optimization strategies to ensure clean, reliable data.
- Pull and structure market data to drive business intelligence and forecasting.
- Business Intelligence & Analytics
- Build interactive dashboards and reporting tools using AWS QuickSight.
- Support operations, finance, and property management teams with data visualization, KPIs, and insights.
- Integrate AI/ML tools (Amazon SageMaker, Bedrock) for forecasting, anomaly detection, and predictive modeling.
- Strategy, Leadership & Custom Development
- Work in-office to understand the business strategy and define how data supports each function.
- Develop custom tools and software that fit CLS Living’s needs and enhance Entrata’s capabilities.
- Collaborate across departments to identify gaps and implement scalable, innovative solutions.
- Serve as a key technical advisor and architect, providing guidance on data and cloud strategy.
- Security & Compliance
- Apply AWS best practices for encryption, IAM policies, and compliance with internal standards.
- Monitor and manage system health using CloudWatch, Config, and GuardDuty.
Required
- 5+ years of hands-on AWS architecture or data engineering experience.
- AWS Certification (Solutions Architect - Professional required).
- Strong background in AWS services: S3, Lambda, Glue, QuickSight, CloudFormation, API Gateway, IAM, Bedrock.
- Experience integrating and optimizing Entrata software or similar real estate management systems.
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, or JavaScript for automation and integration.
- Strategic thinker who can operate autonomously – this is not a junior-level role.
- Must be able to work in the office (with possible hybrid flexibility).

Preferred
- Experience in real estate, property management, or student housing industries.
- Knowledge of BI tools and visualization platforms (QuickSight, Power BI, etc.).
- Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, and Git-based workflows.
- Experience developing custom internal tools or automation frameworks.
