About the role

We are seeking a passionate Cash Application expert to help achieve our vision of providing a world-class Order-to-Cash (O2C) experience for internal and external customers. The AWS Senior Financial Analyst will drive upstream systems and process improvements to reduce operating expenses, increase free cash flow, improve customer experience, and establish first-pass yield efficiencies. This role requires a strategic, detail-oriented individual with strong accounting and finance skills, robust interpersonal and influencing abilities, and a high level of ownership to dive deep into complex challenges.

You will work independently to identify opportunities for reducing manual processes, eliminating waste, and leveraging AI and emerging technologies to enhance scalability and self-service.

Responsibilities

  • Standardize Global Processes: Design and implement comprehensive standard operating procedures across multiple sites to ensure consistent, high-quality financial operations.
  • Process Optimization: Conduct in-depth analysis of cash application workflows, identifying opportunities for efficiency and implementing strategic improvements.
  • Technical Collaboration: Partner with technology teams to integrate AI and emerging technologies, reducing manual interventions and enhancing scalability.
  • Training and Development: Develop robust training infrastructure to support skill development and consistent onboarding for cash application analysts.
  • Problem Resolution: Proactively address escalations, maintain financial integrity, and develop preventative measures to minimize process gaps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
  • 3+ years of experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
  • 3+ years of experience creating process improvements with automation and analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree in a related field.

Pay

Base salary range: $66,900 - $117,100 USD annually (Arlington, VA). Your total compensation package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
