AWS/Python Full-Stack Developer

About the role

Client is seeking an experienced AWS/Python Full-Stack Developer to support cloud-based quantitative research, signal generation, back-testing, data, and analytics platforms. This person will join an Agile full-stack team and work closely with developers, architects, product owners, and business partners. The role requires strong experience with Python, AWS, React, DevOps, and data engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud-based applications and quantitative research platforms
• Build secure, resilient, observable, and production-ready applications
• Develop backend services and data-processing solutions using Python
• Create web applications and dashboards using React or Dash
• Build and maintain data pipelines using AWS Glue, S3, PostgreSQL, and Athena
• Develop microservices and serverless applications using Lambda, SNS, SQS, and API Gateway
• Design and implement secure REST APIs
• Build and support containerized applications using Amazon ECS
• Develop proofs of concept to validate architectural patterns
• Deploy and support AWS applications in production
• Implement application monitoring and logging using CloudWatch
• Support CI/CD automation using Bamboo, Bitbucket, Artifactory, and Ansible
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of software development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Python, AWS, React, and data engineering
• Experience with Python libraries and frameworks such as Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, Dash, Dask, Flask, and Boto3
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, Lambda, CloudWatch, Step Functions, S3, Glue, SNS, SQS, API Gateway, and PostgreSQL
• Experience designing microservices and serverless applications
• Strong understanding of data architecture, ETL pipelines, and caching strategies
• Experience implementing secure APIs, session management, and authentication
• Knowledge of Okta integration
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Amazon SageMaker and Athena
• Knowledge of the investment-management or equities domain
• Experience supporting quantitative research or trading applications
