About the role
Platform Engineer (Combination of Release Engineer, Monitor Kibanna, Dynatrace, Apigee)
Responsibilities
- Work with core AWS services including VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Route 53, Backups, EKS, SSO, MSK, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and related security/compliance tooling
- Handle advanced networking including AWS Transit Gateway (TGW) and Direct Connect setup, troubleshooting, and hybrid connectivity
- Configure observability & monitoring using Amazon CloudWatch, Grafana, Open Telemetry (OTEL), and proactive alerting and telemetry
- Implement Infrastructure as Code & Automation using Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and Shell scripting for end-to-end automation
- Manage container orchestration with Kubernetes (EKS) and Istio service mesh for traffic management, security, and observability
- Perform security & patching, including vulnerability remediation in cloud-native and containerized environments aligned with best practices and compliance
- Develop Python scripts and automation for infrastructure tooling
- Work efficiently in fast-paced, Agile/Scrum environments and collaborate across cross-functional teams
Requirements
- Minimum 7+ years of experience required
- Strong experience with AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Route 53, Backups, EKS, SSO, MSK, Security Hub, GuardDuty)
- Advanced networking knowledge with hands-on Transit Gateway and Direct Connect experience
- Observability & monitoring experience with CloudWatch, Grafana, and OTEL
- Proficiency in Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and Shell scripting
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes (EKS) and Istio service mesh
- Experience in patching and vulnerability remediation in cloud-native environments
- Hands-on Python development experience for scripting and automation
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to work in fast-paced environments
