About the role
We are looking for an experienced AWS Infrastructure Engineer to support and grow AWS-based infrastructure used by Data Science, AI/ML, and Data Lake teams. This role is hands-on and focused on cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, security, and platform operations.
Responsibilities
- Build, deploy, and support AWS environments for Data Science and AI/ML teams.
- Automate infrastructure using Terraform (IaC) and Azure DevOps CI/CD.
- Work with Kubernetes, Docker, and Amazon ECR to support containerized workloads.
- Support AWS services such as SageMaker, Glue, Lambda, and Athena.
- Develop automation and operational scripts using Python and Shell scripting.
- Support databases including Athena, Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Manage AWS accounts, platform environments, image lifecycle, upgrades, patching, and day-to-day infrastructure operations.
- Apply security controls and guardrails, address vulnerabilities, and support audit requirements.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues, perform root cause analysis, and help remove technical roadblocks for development and business teams.
- Partner with Network, Database, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams on platform initiatives.
- Provide technical documentation, knowledge transfer, and on-call support when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience supporting Data Science Infrastructure on AWS.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Data Lake, Data Science, or AI/ML environments.
- Strong experience with Terraform, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Docker, and ECR.
- Experience with AWS services such as SageMaker, Glue, Lambda, and Athena.
- Programming or automation experience with Python and/or Shell scripting.
- Experience supporting cloud infrastructure, security, patching, vulnerabilities, and production operations.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and communicate technical solutions clearly.
- Experience creating technical documentation and knowledge-transfer materials.
Bachelor's degree and equivalent required. Preference for U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders, but open to all who are authorized to work.
