About the role

You are a seasoned engineer with 10+ years of experience, predominantly in fast-paced startup and large corporate environments. You thrive in both independent and collaborative settings, adept at working with diverse stakeholders including Compliance, Information Security, Product Sales, and Account Management teams. You are skilled at multitasking, managing tickets, and navigating complex projects.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with remote peers across different time zones, ensuring efficient task completion and minimizing mental barriers.
  • Communicate effectively through various mediums, including technical documentation and UML diagrams.
  • Utilize Linux fundamentals and scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
  • Have a deep understanding of DNS, TLS, and networking architecture.
  • Work proficiently with cloud infrastructure tools like AWS EC2, ELB, S3, and monitoring/logging utilities like Datadog.
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions, configuration management with Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
  • Proficient in CLI scripting to enhance all mentioned tools.
  • Show a passion for continuous learning and mentoring others in adopting new technologies.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. A strong background in computer science fundamentals, including Linux, scripting, networking, and cloud infrastructure.

Experience with OnCall rotations, incident response, and postmortems. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like EKS, Helm, ArgoCD, Istio, OPA, and building compliant solutions for international markets. Experience with microservice architectures, agile practices, and project management tools like Jira and Confluence.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation and UML diagramming.
  • Strong Linux fundamentals and scripting experience (BASH and Python).
  • Solid understanding of DNS, TLS, and networking architecture.
  • Expertise with cloud infrastructure tools (AWS, EC2, ELB, S3).
  • Monitoring and logging utilities (Datadog).
  • CICD Tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Configuration Management (Ansible).
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Build tools (Packer, Docker).
  • CLI Scripting (especially enhancing all mentioned tools).
  • A passion for learning new tools and sharing knowledge.

  • Knowledge of NGINX, Redis, Kafka, ELK, Snowflake (as a plus).
