AWS Engineer
About the Role
Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available AWS-based cloud solutions aligned with business and technology objectives. Build modern, responsive, workflow-driven web applications supporting 10,000+ concurrent users using React front ends and Java/Spring Boot microservices. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation), and automated deployment frameworks to accelerate software delivery. Drive reliability, security, and performance engineering including monitoring, observability, disaster recovery, and operational resilience across cloud platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available AWS-based cloud solutions.
- Build modern, responsive, workflow-driven web applications using React, TypeScript, Java, and Spring Boot microservices.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
- Automate deployment frameworks to accelerate software delivery.
- Drive reliability, security, and performance engineering, including monitoring, observability, disaster recovery, and operational resilience.
- Lead technical design, mentor engineers, and deliver complex large-scale solutions with a focus on scalability, resiliency, and performance.
Requirements
- Strong AWS expertise across EC2, EKS, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, Aurora, MSK, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, IAM, networking, and security services.
- Hands-on expertise in React, TypeScript, Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures at enterprise scale.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, CloudFormation, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong grasp of cloud-native engineering practices.
- Proven ability to deliver complex large-scale solutions with a focus on scalability, resiliency, and performance.
Pay
The base compensation range for this role in Jersey City, NJ is $61,087 - $104,364. Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. The actual compensation offered may vary based on factors such as geographic location, education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, market considerations, and internal pay equity.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on position and applicable laws.
