The Role
The Colorado Qualifying House is seeking Youth Mentors to join our team of passionate advocates. This is a full-time position providing around-the-clock supervision and support to at-risk youth.
Responsibilities
- Provide safety and supervision to at-risk youth
- Support the physical, personal, and health needs of each student
- Offer individual counseling and behavioral/social/physical and educational skill development
- Create a supportive environment for the youth we serve
Requirements
- Local resident
- Reliable transportation
- Experience working with youth (high school diploma with at least one year experience, bachelor's degree or working toward applicable degree)
- Empathetic, patient, and respectful attitude
- At least 1 year of direct care experience with juveniles
- At least 21 years of age
- Pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test
