About the role
The AVP of Inside Sales is a pivotal leadership role overseeing the Consumer Inside Sales organization, focusing on operational excellence, revenue generation, and strategic marketing integration.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of Inside Sales leaders and specialists to exceed key revenue-driving metrics, including phone adds, Verizon Home Internet (VHI), Perks, and Value per Contact (VPC).
- Spearhead the evolution of Inside Sales strategy, driving inbound and outbound performance, call-routing optimization, and conversion improvements.
- Collaborate with Operations, Workforce Planning, IT, and Finance to scale results, implement hybrid sales models, and improve customer satisfaction (RIS/NPS).
- Build a strong, sales-driven culture, utilizing generative AI and internal tools to maximize team engagement, performance, and pipeline conversion.
- Analyze sales performance, forecasts, market conditions, and territory opportunities to drive growth, set quotas, and manage churn.
- Develop the organization through strategic hiring, professional development, and consistent communication of performance objectives and core values.
- Participate in high-level strategy meetings and lead cross-functional initiatives to resolve channel issues and implement process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of proven experience in a sales leadership role, with a strong track record of success in managing sales teams
- 5+ years of management experience
- Deep understanding of sales methodologies, processes, and best practices, with a strong emphasis on data-driven execution and hybrid sales models
- Demonstrated ability to build dynamic sales-driven cultures and drive employee development
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence, inspire, and drive alignment with cross-functional partners
- Ability to evaluate issues, provide solutions, and communicate effectively to VP and up-level executives
- Willingness to travel (30-50% of the time) to support live sales rallies, hub locations, and market visits
Qualifications
- Master’s degree
- Familiarity with workforce management, strategic call routing optimization, and integrating cutting-edge tools (like generative AI) into call center-specific systems
- Expertise in analyzing complex performance metrics (such as Value per Contact) and driving conversion optimization
- Experience leading and developing virtual teams while maintaining high levels of engagement and accountability

Pay
$170,500.00 - $327,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule.
Schedule
This is a hybrid role with a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies. Scheduled Weekly Hours 40.
