About the role
This hybrid role requires you to report to our New York City office at least 60% of the work week, with the remainder worked remotely from your home within the continental US. Details of the schedule will be discussed with leadership.

Responsibilities
- Provide trading workflow operational support to ensure trade matching and settlement; engage with custodians and internal stakeholders to research and resolve trade discrepancies with counterparties.
- Collaborate with Aflac Re Bermuda, Trading, US CIO office, Japan Operations, Risk, Compliance, IT, Investment Accounting, Custodians, Treasury, FP&A, and other key stakeholders.
- Reconcile cash, investment activity, and positions between order management system, custodians, and accounting systems.
- Maintain books and records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Set up accounts with brokers and custodians; execute money movement transactions including internal transfers and outgoing wires.
- Assist with setup and maintenance of SSIs (Standard Settlement Instructions).
- Monitor and execute corporate action events.
- Perform daily cash management and cash balance monitoring.
- Monitor and support the securities lending program; assist in day-to-day management of global custodians.
- Advance controls and process documentation to enhance the control environment; identify gaps in procedural documentation and make necessary updates.
- Evaluate operational requirements with vendors and internal groups to support existing and new investment instruments and account types.
- Lead the advancement of investment trade operations reports, KPIs, and processes; ensure systems and applications have strong workflows to minimize errors and time.
- Work with credit, trading, Japan Operations, and Aflac Re Bermuda teams to assist with operational global workflows.
- Participate in or lead ad-hoc projects; perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in financial services technology and trade operations management (preferably life insurance and/or asset management).
- 5 years of direct experience in Fixed Income, Private Placements, and Derivatives operations.
- Experience with BBG AIM/MARS/BCOL, Bloomberg terminal, Markit, DTCC CTM, Indus Valley Partners reconciliation, FX ALL, or similar software.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Power Automate, Power Query, and VBA preferred.
- Superior MS Excel skill set including pivot tables, reference and lookup formulas, macros; intermediate MS PowerPoint ability preferred.
- Highly organized with superior attention to detail; ability to analyze large amounts of data, extract meaningful information, and identify findings in a succinct format.
- Ability to identify and improve data accuracy and processes used in financial, accounting, and investment reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present and articulate issues clearly with all levels of management and stakeholders.

Qualifications
Experience with margin and collateral management and counterparty interactions is a plus.
Pay
The salary range for this role is $140,000 to $185,000. This range reflects factors such as education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. Offers consider these factors and are typically made below the top of the range to allow for future salary growth.
