AVP, Trading

For our client, we are seeking a AVP, Trading to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will oversee daily trading operations and serve as a senior point of contact for complex trade activity in a fast-paced broker-dealer environment. The position requires a strong blend of execution expertise, operational judgment, and people leadership to support advisors and ensure trades are handled accurately and efficiently. You will also help strengthen processes, manage risk, and drive consistency across the trading function. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $103,206 – $172,010 annually Responsibilities Execute trades, including rebalancing and block transactions, especially during high-volume periods. Lead and develop trading professionals by setting clear performance and accountability expectations. Oversee daily trading operations, including team capacity and advisor support. Manage competing priorities to ensure timely and accurate completion of trading responsibilities. Serve as the senior escalation point for complex trade requests and system issues. Monitor trading activity and operational performance to identify risks and improvement opportunities. Identify and strengthen policies and procedures to enhance risk management and accuracy. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years in financial services, with 3+ years in trading operations or financial technology support. 5+ years executing trades in a broker-dealer or similar environment. 3+ years of people leadership experience, including coaching and performance management. Series 7 required; Series 24 or ability to obtain, and registration in all required U.S. states upon hire.
