AVP Prospect Research and Portfolio Management

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the prospect management system.
• Provide direct preparation and support of monthly portfolio review meetings with all Gift Officers / teams.
• Manage the assignment of prospects, referrals, and donors in collaboration with Foundation and Development Leadership.
• Establish prospect pipeline guidelines and workflows.
• Customize pipeline strategies for high capacity and affinity donors / prospects.
• Implement a comprehensive program of quality prospect research.
• Proactively manage alerts and other proactive research tools.
• Assess current prospecting and research procedures.
• Create structures to better visualize network connections and relationships.
• Guide and inform database screening and analysis.
• Provide analysis of pipeline activity and movement.
• Collaborate with Database Analysts to make recommendations for database modifications.
• Ensure that highest quality KPIS, metrics, and standards are in place.
• Manage and support all direct team members.
• Maintain and monitor the budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree - Required
• 5 years of progressively responsible job related experience.
• Experience in research and fundraising development services, with proven experience in portfolio management, preferably in a large healthcare system, university, or college environment.
• Experience managing and leading employees.
• Ability to manipulate, analyze, and synthesize data using data warehousing and mining tools.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting, and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; strong interpersonal skills.
• Skilled in developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
