Job Overview
The AVP of Facilities Development Operations at AltaMed is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and budgeting activities related to the management of AltaMed facilities, the design and construction of structures, and security systems. They provide overall strategic leadership, coordination, and oversight for the development, maintenance, and facilities services.
Minimum Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Certification or degree in construction management preferred or equivalent years of experience.
- At least 12 to 15 years of experience in architectural design, MEP design coordination, development, and management of capital improvement projects and tenant improvement construction activities for medical facilities and office buildings.
- Demonstrated facilities management experience with a view toward sustainability.
- Demonstrated experience with project management and delivering projects on time and on budget.
- A thorough understanding of business operations and managing budgets.
- Successfully led, supervised, and developed a large staff to provide high-quality facilities solutions and services.
- A thorough understanding of building systems and energy management systems.
- Experience in process engineering and process improvement.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local codes and regulations, including compliance with OSHA and workplace safety standards.
- Ability to lead the operations team in disaster response activities according to FEMA guidelines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Office Suite, and web-based programs.
- Strong ability to mentor and develop staff to promote professional growth and technical competency.
Compensation
Compensation range: $133,036.80 - $166,296.00 annually. The range is subject to change based on various factors including budget, experience, skills, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
