About the Role

This role focuses on the development and execution of end-to-end analytics and reporting for consumer lending, including home equity lines of credit, retail products, and future unsecured personal loans and credit card products. The position contributes to a data-driven culture, driving innovation in credit decisioning, pricing, and customer lifecycle management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the analytics strategy for the consumer lending portfolio, aligning with business goals and risk tolerance.
- Design, develop, validate, and monitor credit risk models and scorecards, including underwriting, behavioral, pricing, and loss forecasting.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reporting frameworks to track portfolio health, credit quality, delinquency trends, loss performance, and profitability metrics.
- Conduct in-depth analysis to identify emerging risks and growth opportunities.
- Design and evaluate origination, account management, and collections strategies using statistical modeling, segmentation, and champion/challenger testing.
- Deliver customer lifecycle analytics, including acquisition, activation, utilization, retention, and attrition, to inform targeted strategies across the lending funnel.
- Partner with Marketing to assess market opportunities, evaluate product economics, and measure campaign effectiveness.
- Leverage customer data to identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities within the consumer lending portfolio.
- Provide analytical support for loss forecasting, stress testing, and allowance for credit losses processes in collaboration with Finance and Risk.
- Collaborate with Technology and Data Engineering teams to ensure the availability, accuracy, and accessibility of lending data assets.
- Define and enforce data governance standards and best practices within the analytics function.
- Contribute to the adoption of advanced analytics techniques to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Communicate complex analytical insights and recommendations clearly to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, accounting, finance, data analytics, or a relevant field.
- 3+ years’ experience in data science/data analytics.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, SAS, R, Python, Excel, and data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Experience in consumer lending preferred.
- Knowledge of consumer lending and related regulations.
- Ability to work with large datasets and derive business insights.
- Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build collaborative working relationships.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks with exacting deadlines and flexibility in a changing environment.
