About the Role
This position focuses on developing a highly effective team and maximizing each team member’s potential through coaching and leadership. You will provide training and coaching to ensure high-quality member service, assist in hiring branch personnel, and oversee daily branch operations, including scheduling, workflow coordination, and handling complex member interactions.
Additional responsibilities include processing teller transactions, managing branch cash, opening new memberships and accounts, originating and closing loans, and representing the credit union in community organizations such as Junior Achievement, the Chamber of Commerce, and Partners in Education.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the branch meets sales and service goals set by Arkansas Federal Credit Union.
- Deliver high-quality member service and meet branch-specific goals.
- Supervise, coach, and train branch personnel, including conducting meetings to provide direction and review progress.
- Resolve complex member issues that exceed the scope of branch personnel.
- Maintain sufficient branch operating cash by monitoring usage and ordering or selling cash to/from the Federal Reserve Bank as needed.
- Evaluate team performance, recommend promotions, and propose salary increases to the AVP Regional Manager.
- Review and maintain manual and electronic reports, including the Branch Monthly Audit Checklist, BSA Logs, and Business Intelligence/Nautilus reports.
- Ensure all branch personnel are knowledgeable and proficient in Safety and Security protocols.
- Control and secure all branch assets, both inside and outside the location.
- Manage the branch budget and operational costs.
- Identify and recommend revisions to department policies and procedures to the AVP Regional Manager.
- Actively participate in community activities as a credit union representative and stay informed about community needs.
- Promote membership growth and credit union products/services by engaging existing business partners and recruiting new ones.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 10 years of related experience and/or training, including:
- 2 years of financial institution experience.
- 3 years of related management experience.
- Ability to attain NMLS (Nationwide Multistate Licensing System) certification.
- Knowledge of specialized fields such as basic accounting or computer systems (however acquired).
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
