AVL & Technology Specialist

Role And Responsibilities

• Execute AVL portion of events
• Provide technical support to faculty, staff, students, and parents
• Aid in the deployment, operation, and maintenance of technology on all campuses
• Aid in maintaining inventory and storage areas
• Adhere to and honor Valley Christian's standards, policies, and procedures
• Perform other related assigned duties

Requirements

• Personal relationship with Jesus Christ
• Agree to uphold Valley Christian's Mission & Beliefs
• Maintain a valid level one IVP fingerprint card
• Maintain a valid Arizona driver's license
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Communicate effectively both written and verbally
• Willing to be trained and learn new systems
• Knowledgeable about event production
• Familiarity with audio mixing consoles, live presentation display software, and DMX addressing
• Basic knowledge of wired and wireless networking, desktop and laptop computers
• Self-motivated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Qualifications And Skills

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two years supporting technology
• Preferred skills: ProPresenter, GrandMA lighting programming, Behringer and Digico Mixing Consoles, Zendesk or FreshDesk ticketing systems

About The Role

The AVL & Technology Specialist position requires experience with a range of technologies, but specifically audio, video, and lighting systems is desired. The AVL & Technology Specialist will be the first point of contact for every event requiring audio/video/lighting support, and will assist with the troubleshooting of equipment, assist with managing tickets based on workload and difficulty, and assist with the inventory, maintenance, and deployment of technology throughout the campuses.

Physical Requirements

• Use a computer (visual and keyboarding) for long periods of time
• Able to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) 50% of the time
• Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
• Requires stooping, bending, turning, pushing, pulling, reaching and climbing stairs (2-story)
• Use of hands, fingers, arms to reach, grip and maneuver objects
• Must be able to respond quickly to sounds (fire/security alarms)
• Work in noisy and crowded school environment
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings when needed
• Frequent walking throughout the campus
