About the role
The Avionics Technician will support the company’s 14 CFR Part 145 Certified Repair Station and Part 135 Air Carrier Certificate. Duties include maintaining and altering aircraft avionics systems in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform avionics system installations in modern complex aircraft.
- Efficiently troubleshoot and repair electrical and avionics systems.
- Work days, nights, weekends, and be on-call 24 hours a day.
- Comply with Federal Aviation Regulations and company manuals.
- Support EMS operating / maintenance bases with state-of-the-art avionics and EMS medical equipment.
Requirements
- Current FAA Airframe Mechanic certificate or verified work history meeting minimum requirements for Airframe testing within 6 months of hire.
- Current FAA Repairmen certificate or verified work history meeting minimum requirements for certificate within 6 months of hire.
- Three (3) years field maintenance experience maintaining avionics systems in modern complex Fixed Wing and / or Rotorcraft operated under an air carrier (14 CFR Part 135).
- Documented experience performing avionics systems installations in modern complex aircraft.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and avionics systems.
- Ability and willingness to gain a thorough knowledge of the company’s General Maintenance Manual, SOP Manual, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Possess sound judgment and objectivity in critical decision-making situations.
- Possess honesty, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant aircraft.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Qualifications
- Current FAA Airframe Mechanic certificate.
- FAA Repairman certificate or held within the last 5 years.
- Five (5) years Fixed Wing and / or Rotorcraft avionics field maintenance experience with an EMS operator.
- Five (5) years of experience maintaining aircraft avionics systems working as a repairman for a 14 CFR 145 Certified Repair Station.
- Five (5) years of experience maintaining aircraft systems and / or avionics systems on Beechcraft, Cessna, Pilatus, and Airbus Helicopters.
Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for electrical and avionics systems.
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and company manuals.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Guardian Flight offers competitive compensation, including a starting salary of $78,287 - $113,480 annually (including 20% geo modifier), a sign-on bonus of $12,500, and comprehensive benefits package.
