Avionics Technician - Part 145 CRS

Starting salary: $78,287 - $113,480 annually (including 20% geo modifier) with a $12,500 sign-on bonus. Schedule: Monday–Friday.

About the role

This full-time Avionics Technician position supports the company’s 14 CFR Part 145 Certified Repair Station and Part 135 Air Carrier Certificate. The role involves maintaining and altering avionics systems on modern complex Fixed-Wing and Rotorcraft aircraft in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and technical data.

You must be able to accomplish all technical and administrative functions independently, with no direct supervision, in support of EMS operating and maintenance bases equipped with state-of-the-art avionics and medical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform avionics systems installations in modern complex aircraft.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and avionics systems efficiently.
• Gain thorough knowledge of the company’s General Maintenance Manual, SOP Manual, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Work days, nights, weekends, and be on-call 24 hours a day during assigned duty periods.
• Maintain sound judgment and objectivity in critical decision-making situations.
• Uphold honesty, integrity, and a commitment to safe and compliant aircraft operations.

Requirements

• Current FAA Airframe Mechanic certificate (or verified work history that meets minimum requirements to obtain written approval for Airframe testing from the FAA within 6 months of hire).
• Current FAA Repairman’s certificate (or verified work history that meets minimum requirements to obtain certificate within 6 months of hire).
• Three (3) years of field maintenance experience maintaining avionics systems in modern complex Fixed-Wing and/or Rotorcraft operated under a 14 CFR Part 135 air carrier certificate.
• Documented experience performing avionics systems installations in modern complex aircraft.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and avionics systems.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

• Current FAA Airframe Mechanic certificate.
• FAA Repairman certificate or held one in the past 5 years.
• Five (5) years of Fixed-Wing and/or Rotorcraft avionics field maintenance experience with an EMS operator.
• Five (5) years of experience maintaining aircraft avionics systems as a repairman for a 14 CFR 145 Certified Repair Station.
• Five (5) years of experience maintaining aircraft systems and/or avionics systems on Beechcraft, Cessna, Pilatus, and Airbus Helicopters.
