Avionics Technician - Part 145 CRS

Starting salary: $94,597 - $137,122 annually (including 45% geo modifier) plus a $12,500 sign-on bonus. Monday–Friday schedule.

About the role

We’re hiring an Avionics Technician to support the maintenance, compliance, and safety of our fleet within our 14 CFR Part 145 Certified Repair Station and Part 135 Air Carrier operations. This technician will perform avionics maintenance and alterations in accordance with approved technical data and regulatory requirements, ensuring our team can safely maintain and deliver timely, high-quality transportation services and customer care to patients.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and avionics systems.
• Interpret and perform work in accordance with the General Maintenance Manual (GMM), SOP Manual, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to document work and communicate effectively.
• Ability and willingness to work days, nights, weekends, and be on-call 24 hours a day during the assigned duty period.
• Support EMS operating/maintenance bases configured with state-of-the-art avionics and EMS medical equipment installed in Fixed Wing and Rotor aircraft.
• Complete technical and administrative tasks independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Valid FAA Airframe Mechanic or Repairman Certificate, or qualifying experience to obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
• Three (3) years of field maintenance experience maintaining avionics systems in modern complex Fixed Wing and/or Rotorcraft operated under an air carrier (14 CFR Part 135) certificate.
• Valid State-issued Driver’s license, High School diploma, or GED equivalent.
• Documented experience performing avionics systems installations in modern complex aircraft.
• Computer skills including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
• Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs and lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid Airframe Mechanic certificate or Valid Repairman’s certificate, or have held one in the past 5 years.
• Three (3) years of Fixed Wing and/or Rotorcraft avionics field maintenance experience with an EMS operator.
• Three (3) years of experience maintaining aircraft avionics systems working as a repairman for a 14 CFR 145 Certified Repair Station.
• Three (3) years of experience maintaining aircraft systems and/or avionics systems on Beechcraft, Cessna, Pilatus, and Airbus Helicopters.
