About the role

This position is available for weekend shifts only, specifically Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing avionics units and aircraft systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general avionics support items on aircraft, including removal and installation of panels and components and repair work.
  • Troubleshoot and evaluate systems on the aircraft when designated.
  • Inspect and evaluate the aircraft and components when designated.
  • Aircraft movement and performance verification of systems.
  • Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling to support operations.
  • Work with customers in project management, pricing, and customer support roles.
  • Work independently on projects.
  • Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
  • Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.

Requirements

  • A High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Electronics or Avionics factory training is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Qualifications

  • Tech I: 0-2 years of experience in avionics, military avionics, or electrical field.
  • Tech II: 2-4 years of experience in avionics or military avionics field.
  • Tech III: 4-6 years of experience in avionics or military avionics field.
  • Master Technician: 6+ years’ experience with corporate/business avionics systems.

Skills

  • Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of working under specific deadlines and time constraints.
  • Effective communication skills (speaking, writing, reading).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines.
  • Troubleshooting, evaluating, and performing functional tests for various avionics and instrument systems.
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with others.
  • Ability to work independently and potentially train or mentor other technicians.
  • Reliable transportation to work.
  • Compliance with FAA guidelines.
  • Adherence to company and safety rules.
  • Customer-oriented work habits.
