Avionics Install Technician - Weekend Shift - 1465

About the role

This position is available for weekend shifts only, specifically Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The shift includes a 11.11% shift differential and operates on a 3-day workweek.

Responsibilities

• Removal and installation of panels, components, and interiors
• Repair work on avionics installations
• Stamp, bundle, and install connectors on wiring
• Removal of old wiring and installation of new wire bundles in aircraft
• Troubleshooting and evaluation of avionics systems on the aircraft when designated
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated
• Aircraft movement and assistance in hangar stacking when required
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases
• Work within a team process
• Work independently on projects when required
• Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Requirements

• A High school diploma or equivalent
• Electronics or Avionics training is preferred
• A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory

Qualifications

• Tech I: 0-2 years of experience in avionics, military avionics, or electrical field
• Tech II: 2-4 years of experience in avionics or military avionics field
• Tech III: 4-6 years of experience in avionics or military avionics field
• Master Technician: 6+ years’ experience with corporate/business avionics systems

Skills

• Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines
• Follow wiring diagrams, route, and terminate wires at proper locations
• Troubleshoot, evaluate, and perform functional tests for various avionics and instrument systems
• Work with others in a professional manner

Pay

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $22-$35. Actual hourly rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
