Avionics Maintenance Technician - 1092
About the role
Our Avionics Maintenance Technicians are responsible for troubleshooting and repairing problems to the component level on avionics units (i.e. Navs, Coms, Pulse, Radar, Audio and Autopilot Systems), as well as the aircraft systems. They perform general avionics support items on aircraft, including removal and installation of panels and components, and repair work. They also troubleshoot and evaluate systems on the aircraft, inspect and evaluate components, verify aircraft performance, maintain and repair shop facility, equipment and tooling, work with customers in project management, pricing and customer support roles, and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Perform general avionics support items on aircraft.
- Troubleshoot and evaluate systems on the aircraft when designated.
- Inspect and evaluate the aircraft and components when designated.
- Aircraft movement and performance verification of systems.
- Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling to support operations.
- Work with customer in project management, pricing and customer support roles.
- Work independently on projects.
- Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
- Basic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases.
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent.
- Electronics or Avionics factory training is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
Qualifications
- Tech I: 0-2 years of experience in avionics, military avionics or electrical field.
- Tech II: 2-4 years of experience in avionics or military avionics field.
- Tech III: 4-6 years of experience in avionics or military avionics field.
- Master Technician: 6+ years’ experience with corporate/business avionics systems.

- Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work under specific deadlines and time constraints.
- Effective communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines.
- Troubleshooting, evaluating, and performing functional tests for various avionics and instrument systems.
