Responsibilities
- Performs routine set up, operation, minor and major routine maintenance, preventative maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting of highly complex/automated manufacturing equipment.
- Ensures production, quality, downtime and waste levels of machine operation.
- Performs mechanical, pneumatic and electrical maintenance (including preventive) repairs, adjustments, inspection and monitoring of production and/or facilities related equipment and machinery.
- Analyzes, troubleshoots and repairs complex equipment and machinery using judgment and consultation.
- Works effectively in a team setting, supporting team goals and objectives.
- Makes effective decisions relative to position requirements.
- Plays a key role in planning, performing, making decisions, troubleshooting and problem solving in performance of all maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Use of a PC including MS Excel & MSWord.
- Efficient in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical components.
- Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams including complex automated system drawings.
- Demonstrate hydraulics, pneumatics aptitude.
- Able to use multimeter. Sensor technology. Basic plumbing (fluid and pneumatic). Power transmission (gear box, motors, belt and chain drives).
- Electrical troubleshooting of circuits from low level signals up to 480 VAC.
- Preferred: Troubleshooting of Industrial Control Systems (instrumentation, ladder logic, relay logic, vfd, servo etc.). Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of PLC operations, robotics, and vision systems.
- Basic skills in use of mill, lathe, welding, bearing press.
