AVID Tutor (Temporary)

This role offers a rewarding way to directly support middle and high school students in developing the academic, organizational, and critical thinking skills needed for long-term college and career success.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate small group tutorial sessions during the school day to empower first-generation and underrepresented students in their college readiness journey.

Requirements

• Current status as an enrolled college student.
• Ability to assist students with organizational skills, including binders, planners, and note‑taking techniques.
• Commitment to maintaining a consistent, agreed‑upon tutoring schedule and tracking academic progress.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Passion for mentoring students toward academic excellence and college aspirations.

Pay

$16.80 per hour.

Schedule

Days of the week may vary due to school schedules, but we are looking for Tues‑Thurs availability; scheduling will aim to match the applicant’s availability with AVID Elective Class times.
