AVID Tutor

About the role

The AVID program aims to enhance the current curriculum and develop students' skills to prepare them for college and career success. Tutors under the supervision of the AVID coordinator provide academic and social support to intermediate and high school students.

Responsibilities

• Support students through the AVID Tutorial model, facilitating meaningful study groups.
• Mentor, motivate, and inspire students to excel in their current coursework.
• Visualize the positive impact of student effort on future endeavors.

Requirements / Qualifications

• A High School Diploma
• Current enrollment in or degree from an accredited community college or university
• Experience as a tutor or similar position preferred

Pay

Hourly rate is $18.50/hr.

Schedule

Hours of work vary and are flexible based on candidate's schedule.
