AVID Tutor
About the role
AVID (Advancement via Individual Determination) tutors provide academic and social support to intermediate and high school students who strive to attend college and achieve career success. Under the direct supervision of the AVID coordinator, tutors will support students directly using the AVID Tutorial model, facilitating meaningful study groups. Training in the AVID Tutorial model will be provided after employment.
In this position, you will mentor, motivate, and inspire students to succeed in their current coursework and visualize the positive impact of their efforts in future endeavors.

Responsibilities
- Facilitate AVID Tutorial sessions to support student learning
- Mentor and motivate students to achieve academic success
- Help students develop skills for college and career readiness
Pay
$18.50 per hour
Schedule
Hours vary and are flexible based on the candidate’s schedule.
