About the role

The opportunity is for an experienced Aviation Solution Architect, Lead who can translate customer IT needs into cohesive technical solutions, particularly in the context of FAA systems and National Airspace System (NAS) operations. This role involves leading the transformation of technology usage and modernizing legacy systems.

Responsibilities

  • Translate customer IT needs into architecture products, design specifications, statements of work, requirements, and scripts
  • Lead the integration of service-based technologies into cohesive technical solutions addressing client challenges
  • Develop and deliver tailored, complex presentations to clients illustrating solutions to both technical and business-focused problems
  • Mentor the next generation of developers to help them grow into solutions architects
  • Shape the digital solutions business and identify opportunities for growth

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with software development and modernization efforts, including cloud, automation platforms, enterprise data, AI, and open-source tech stacks
  • 7+ years of experience architecting secure, high-performance, and high-availability systems, especially on missions of national importance
  • Experience serving as a solution architect integrating service-based technologies into cohesive technical solutions
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Nice if you have: Experience with FAA systems and processes, National Airspace System (NAS) operations, experience with frameworks for systems modernization efforts, experience with integrated DevSecOps toolchains and test-driven development practices, experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP underlying services, excellent communication, presentation, and organization skills, multiple Cloud Architecture, Software Development, or DevSecOps Certifications

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Those not meeting the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
