About the role
Corgan is actively recruiting a dynamic Architect to join the firm as part of our Aviation team in our Atlanta office. The role involves assisting in all phases of the design process on a variety of projects, fostering a productive partnership with clients and project delivery teams, utilizing appropriate software, collaborating with project teams, executing coordination and integration of construction and consultant documents, maintaining awareness of new methodologies, and contributing to the production of construction documents.
Responsibilities
- Generate creative design solutions within the functional parameters of a project
- Foster a productive partnership with the client and project delivery team through regular communication and collaboration
- Utilize appropriate software at a proficient level to create graphics and presentation materials
- Support the integration of the design process with other workflows and project tasks
- Collaborate with project teams serving as concept champions throughout the project
- Execute coordination and integration of construction and consultant documents
- Apply knowledge of construction methods and timelines
- Conduct field verification and site visits as needed
- Maintain awareness of, and appropriately apply, new methodologies, practices, codes, and products
- Actively contribute to the production of major components of a thorough set of construction documents
- Afford assistance with contract administration responsibilities
- Translate concepts and information into images
- Participate in the process of exploring and completing usable detailing solutions
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial design, with a preference for aviation experience
- Passionate and progressively seeking more responsibilities to expand expertise
- Strong design portfolio showcasing strengths in conceptual design, space planning skills, and detailing
- Revit proficiency and technical excellence; experience with other 3D software preferred
- Interest in sustainable design
- Professional registration or anticipation of registration
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Flexible attitude
- Ability to collaborate in a diverse project team environment
- Experience preparing all stages of design documentation, performing construction administration, and consultant coordination
- Willingness to travel
Qualifications
- Graduate from a NAAB accredited architecture program or equivalent
Skills
- Proficiency in Revit and other 3D software
- Interest in sustainable design
