Aviation Project Manager
Full-time direct hire opportunity in Dallas, TX.
About the role
Provides seasoned aviation technical expertise across all conventional aspects of airport functional areas and applies advanced concepts to unconventional engineering problems. Functions as an individual researcher or technical specialist on airfield design or construction projects, including runway, taxiway, apron, hangars, approach evaluations, utility improvements, and other airport-related development projects.
Responsibilities include upholding engineering ethics and standards, ensuring the financial health and quality control of projects, and interfacing with clients and regulatory agencies with minimal oversight. Represents multidisciplinary capabilities to airport clients, assisting in the development and execution of airport capital improvement programs from conceptual planning through construction administration and inspection.
Performs airfield or landside project design oversight, reviews sketches and design concepts, and plans the production of engineering drawings and specifications. Evaluates alternatives for new projects, selecting cost-effective solutions, and analyzes technical problems to devise innovative approaches. Prepares or oversees cost and manpower estimates, schedules, and budgets. Coordinates with lead technical engineers, mentors junior professionals, and may occasionally travel to project locations domestically and internationally.
Coordinates with Dallas office aviation clients on project grant requests, inspections, and construction administration services.
Requirements
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant aviation-related civil engineering or project management experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of or experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
- Proven technical writing and communication skills.
- P.E. license required.
Pay
$115,000–$145,000 range.
