Aviation Maintenance Substitute Instructor

Required Qualifications

• FAA airframe and powerplant aircraft mechanic certificates.
• Five years A&P work experience, including various operations such as Part 91, 135, and/or 145.
• E; a bachelor’s degree or the willingness to earn one;
• As well as excellent communication, computer, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Teaching/training experience.
• Five or more years of related work experience in one or more of the following areas: Aviation Mathematics, Physics, Weight and Balance or powerplant fuel systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Instruct courses that may include the following topics: Aircraft Fluid Power Systems, Airframe Fuel, Water, and Waste Systems, Turbine Engines and Accessory Systems and Airframe Systems and Inspections.
• Student advising is also a key responsibility.
