Science and Engineering Services is seeking a skilled and motivated Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE) Technician to join our team in Huntsville Alabama. This position is responsible for providing critical support for ALSE requirements across multiple military programs including H-60, and CH 47 platforms. The ideal candidate will be a qualified ALSE technician with military, FAA, or equivalent certification and experience, capable of ensuring the highest standards of safety, maintenance, and operational readiness. Essential Functions Perform inspection, maintenance, repair, and testing of ALSE, including flight suits, helmets, survival gear etc. Supports flight operations by ensuring all ALSE equipment meets regulatory and program specific requirements. Coordinates with flight crews, maintenance teams, and program managers to maintain ALSE readiness and compliance.Document and report equipment status, discrepancies, and maintenance actions in accordance with the applicable service guidance, regulatory requirements and SES standards.Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians and flight personnel on ALSE procedures and safety protocols.Maintain up to date knowledge of ALSE technical orders, manuals, and regulatory guidance.Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance ALSE program effectiveness and safety. Education High School Diploma or GED Required Skills and Experience Technicians must have sufficient ALSE experience in order to manage an ALSE program shop IAW FM 1-385, and AR 95-1, Chapter ALSE Technician shall meet the training requirements stated in AR-95-1, Paragraph 8- 14.Qualified Aviation Life Support Equipment Technician through a US Military Service, FAA certification, or an equivalent recognized program. Experience supporting military aviation life support programs, preferably with H-60 and CH 47 platforms.Strong understanding of military and FAA aviation safety standards, technical orders, and maintenance proceduresAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentExcellent attention to detail and commitment to safety and Quality Desired Skills and Experience Prior experience working in a military or defense contractor environmentFamiliarity with Multiple aircraft types and associated ALSE equipmentStrong communication skills and ability to interact with diverse teams including pilots, maintenance personnel, Quality and Management personnel.
