Aviation IHM Manufacturing Engineer

About the Role

Member of an associate team responsible for providing planning, technical direction, operational improvements, and operator support associated with the manufacturing, rework, and repair of gas turbine engine components and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing engineering support on supplied parts, in-house manufactured parts, design requirements, manufacturing processes, and finished parts.
• Support and create manufacturing plans from design specifications to meet quality requirements; ensure plans are audit-ready.
• Develop programs/methods to optimize producibility, reduce cycle time, manufacturing losses, and overall shop cost.
• Track manufacturing discrepancy performance and provide input on process improvements; create countermeasures, controls, and work instructions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering) or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to interpret drawings and understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Engineering experience in gas turbine engine parts and assemblies or a similar manufacturing setting.
• Experience with lean manufacturing initiatives such as TQM, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CAD/CAM software.

Working Conditions

• Climate-controlled office environment.

• Ability to handle parts weighing up to 30 lbs.
