AV Systems Specialist

About the role

Responsible for managing AV systems in educational settings, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain audiovisual equipment in classrooms and lecture halls.
• Provide technical support to faculty and staff for AV system issues.
• Perform routine checks and repairs on AV equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with IT and facility management teams to resolve complex AV system issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in AV systems installation and maintenance.
• Proficiency in AV hardware and software, including projectors, microphones, speakers, and control systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to client sites.

Skills

• Knowledge of AV standards and best practices.
• Experience with AV system integration and customization.
• Basic knowledge of network infrastructure and cabling.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
