AV Production Manager

About the Role
This position oversees the organization and development of video production for clients, providing leadership in setting production schedules, maintaining records, and keeping projects on track. The role advises clients on best practices in production, manages budgets and staffing, and ensures high-quality output. Additional responsibilities include leading production teams, facilitating post-production, and supervising team members to align with departmental goals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the organization and development of video production for clients.
- Set and maintain production schedules to produce assets, keep records, and ensure projects stay on track.
- Advise clients on best practices in production and implement those practices.
- Maintain the production budget and staffing to meet client goals while ensuring professional quality.
- Determine production methods and lead the in-house production team in studio and on location.
- Direct multi-camera shoots, lighting setups, and audio capture using multiple microphones.
- Facilitate post-production of project content, including coordinating graphic design templates.
- Collaborate with clients to approve and deliver multimedia resources, offering creative solutions for high-quality digital content.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and organizational standards.
- Oversee daily operations, delegate tasks, and monitor performance to maintain productivity and quality.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, offer constructive feedback, and support employee development through coaching and training.
- Develop new techniques, systems, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and streamline production processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Professional demeanor with outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced environment while providing superior customer service.
- Practical experience in video production, including:
- 4K video production processes.
- Setup and operation of multi-camera shoots.
- Lighting for studio, on-location, and live environments.
- Audio capture using multiple microphone options simultaneously.
- Leading a production team in the field.
- Technical experience with the following technologies:
- Editing programs such as DaVinci, Adobe Premiere, or Final Cut Pro.
- Design programs such as Photoshop or Illustrator.
- Animation programs such as After Effects.
Pay
$80,000 - $85,000
This position is time-limited and soft-funded. Candidates will be asked to submit examples of their work.
